The overall goal for the Interactive touch presentation project was to develop an environment that could be easily repeated and based in many rooms. The technology for each room needed to be similar, if not identical, to allow end users to familiarise themselves with only one kind of interface, that would be applicable in any room in which they were presenting. To accomplish these tasks and achieve their goals, we used technologies from Samsung, the industry’s leading company.
Each of the Interactive 65” touch screen presentation rooms now features a large format interactive with an Interface kit with wall plate. Users have the ability to show video sources such as DVD materials, as well as computer graphics. Computer interface kit is available for both permanent in-room PCs and notebook computers.
In the main large presentation room the audio solution was split into zones, to allow the large room become two-tiered / zoned area to meet the needs of both rooms. For those rooms in which audio were required, recessed ceiling-mounted loudspeakers were used to support the Interactive Large format displays.
In the main breakout area, we provided a Samsung video wall, recessed in to the wall with equal spacing for the thermal guides, allowing the screens to breath
The large format displays and presentation systems developed for this project have not aesthetically overwhelmed the existing environment and atmosphere of the training rooms. Each of the large format interactive screens is fully wall-recessed with all power outlets and networks outlet being hidden behind the screens. We also used colour coded cable interface kits and used colour coded ceiling mounted speakers.
